Road Safety in Burwood
At Burwood Public School, the safety of our students is a top priority, especially during the busy drop-off and pick-up times. We understand that the start and end of the school day can be hectic, and we want to make it as safe and smooth as possible for everyone. We have a range of helpful resources designed to promote road safety and reduce risks associated with parking and traffic congestion.
We encourage all parents and carers to visit the council web site here: Road Safety Around Our Schools Burwood Council (nsw.gov.au).
These resources are here to help you understand and follow the best practices for parking and navigating school zones. Our school also supports regular patrols by Council Rangers, Parking Officers, and Police to ensure that everyone is adhering to the 40km/h speed limit during school hours. Remember, penalties for breaches can be severe, so let’s all do our part to keep our kids safe.
By working together and following these guidelines, we can create a safer and more efficient environment for all our children. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in keeping Burwood Public School a safe place for all.
