Plan your calendar by saving the date for all our P&C meetings for 2025!

P&C meetings are held monthly and attending is a great way to keep updated with what’s happening at school, connect with other parents and carers and learn about upcoming events. We are volunteer run and need more parent and carer involvement to help make decisions that will help our students and the BPS community.

We look forward to seeing everyone again and would love to meet new parents and carers! Our first meeting of the year is tomorrow Friday 21 February from 9am held at YMCA Burwood and Google Meet.

BPS P&C UNIFORM SHOP OPENING HOURS 2025

We have NEW opening hours this year for the BPS P&C Uniform Shop! Our opening hours for 2025 are:

Tuesday afternoons from 2:45-3:30pm &
Thursday mornings from 8:45-9:30am

We are open during school terms for in person shopping and online order pickup with card and cash facilities available. To shop online head to our online store - https://burwoodpandc.org.au/uniform-shop. Orders placed online can skip the queue!

The shop is run by P&C volunteers and all proceeds of sales go to the school to assist in funding initiatives, facilities and equipment to promote the recreation and welfare of all Burwood Public School students.

New volunteers are always welcome! If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please get in touch with the Uniform Shop Manager by emailing uniformshop@burwoodpandc.org.au.

Welcome back to school for 2025! The P&C hope everyone has had a restful break and is excited for another year at our wonderful school. We would especially like to welcome all the new Kindy families to the Burwood Public School community!

BPS P&C UNIFORM SHOP TERM 1 EXTRA OPENING HOURS

The BPS P&C uniform shop will be opening extra hours this week for all your back to school uniform needs! We will be open:

Thursday 6 February 2025
8:45am - 9:30am & 2:45pm - 3:30pm

Friday 7 February 2025
8:45am - 9:30am & 2:45pm - 3:30pm

Normal uniform shop opening hours will resume from week 2. We anticipate that the shop will be very busy for the first few weeks of term so we highly recommend pre-ordering uniforms online to save time as online order pickups can skip the queue. A friendly reminder that the last day to purchase uniforms before the end of the school year is tomorrow Thursday 12 December 2024 8:45am - 9:30am.

Any orders placed online during school holidays can be picked up when the shop reopens on Thursday February 6 2025.

The last day to purchase uniforms before the end of the school year is Thursday 12 December 2024 from 8:45am - 9:30am.

We recommend purchasing uniforms before the end of Term 4 or from the online shop during school holidays as the shop gets extremely busy at the start of the school year! All online order pickups can skip the queue during shop opening hours.

Any uniforms purchased online during the school holidays can be picked up when the shop reopens on Thursday 6 February 2025.

2024 BPS P&C NEON GLOW DISCO PARTY OH WHAT A NIGH

2024 BPS P&C NEON GLOW DISCO PARTY

OH WHAT A NIGHT!! Earlier this month we had 300 students and their families attend the BPS P&C Neon Glow Disco Party. There was face painting, glitter and tattoos, bubble tea from year 6 leaders, gelato from @pure_gelato, Photo Booth, bubbles from BPS parent Joey, food from @hicheffoodtruck and @pizzaalfrescosydney and beats from @lilraverskidsdiscos. Thanks to the support of the Burwood Public School community we raised over $7000!

The BPS P&C would not have been able to hold our disco event without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. A HUGE heartfelt thank you to each of our amazing volunteers. Thank you also to BPS parent Joey for donating our new P&C vests!

A special thank you to Ms Mourad, Ms Self, Mr O’Neill, Ms Stead, Ms Kanaan, Ms Katsieris, Ms Kingsnorth and Mr Ville for giving their time to help on the night. The success of P&C events and fundraising relies on volunteers to help and we hope to see more families join us in the future!

2024 WORLD TEACHERS DAY

World Teachers Day was last month and the BPS P&C would like to thank all the amazing teachers and support staff at Burwood Public for their continued dedication to our students. We hope you enjoyed lunch and sweet treats from @thelab_blackpoison.

A reminder that you can pickup tickets/wristbands and purchase tokens tomorrow between:
8:45am - 9:15am and
3pm - 7pm

Each child will need to wear their wristband to enter their disco session and to redeem their complimentary scoop of gelato.

Disco location: School Hall
Activities and food location: Outside Hall from 3:30pm

Disco times:
Kindy - Year 2 Disco 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Low Sensory Disco 5:45pm - 6:30pm
Year 3-6 Disco 6:45pm - 8pm

We recommend students participate in activities such as face painting and glow tattoos and redeem their gelato at least an hour before their disco time in case of queues.

Thank you to our BPS families for your patience while the P&C finalised details for Disco Party night! Wristbands for students who have purchased tickets will be available for pick up from the COLA on:

Wednesday 30 October from 2:45-3:15pm and
Friday 1 November from 8:45-9:15am and 3pm -7pm

BPS P&C tokens for activities will be available for purchase in bags of $10 for 5 tokens and $20 for 10 tokens with all funds raised going towards our school. We encourage all families to get in early for wristband pickup and token purchases to avoid queues on the night!

Please note that wristbands and tokens will NOT be reissued if lost - we kindly request only parents and carers come to pickup and purchase. For all event details please head to our website burwoodpandc.org.au or send us an email at hello@burwoodpandc.org.au if you have any questions.
